Topical yeast treatment

by Anna
(Oregon)

My dog is currently undergoing a natural yeast detox and leaky gut protocol. She follows a prey model raw species appropriate diet.

My question is what can I use TOPICALLY on her rash that has developed on her belly due to the detoxing process? I was thinking coconut oil?

Topical Treatment for Yeast Infection Rash
by: Sandra

Hi Anna,

Coconut oil is a good choice.

Here are a few other suggestions.

Raw organic apple cider vinegar ( 1 tablespoon ) diluted in a cup of water. Soak a clean small cloth in the liquid and apply as a compress. Leave on the rashy area for a few minutes. You could also use cotton balls soaked and dabbed on. Let dry.

Saline is always a good choice too. Dissolve a teaspoon of unbleached Celtic ( grey ) or Himalayan ( pink ) sea salt in a cup of water and either use the compress method or cotton balls to dab on. Let dry naturally.

You could apply a small amount of coconut oil after either one of these remedies, when the skin has dried.

Hope that helps,
Sandra
